Low back pain xxxxxx
Goals: To relieve persistent pain in the lumbar paravertebral muscles whatever the cause. This is often achieved during the first two to three sessions.
Benefits of electrostimulation
The increased tension in the contractured muscle fibres is responsible for crushing the capillary network. The result is a reduction in blood flow leading to an accumulation of acid metabolites and free radicals. This muscular acidosis is directly responsible for the pain that leads to a recurrence of the contracture. It is the classic vicious circle of chronic muscular contracture.
Electrostimulation with the endorphin-inducing programme will produce several effects:
- a pain-killing effect (analgesic) following the production of endorphins and enkephalin.
- draining of acid metabolites and free radicals thanks to the local increase in blood flow.
Electrostimulation relieves pain and speeds up the elimination of waste, which in turn helps to eliminate the contracture.
Explanation and protocol: Pain in the low back region (low back pain) is a very common pain of vertebral origin and afflicts a large part of the population, without sparing long distance runners. Runners who tend to suffer from low back pain (early lumbago) should build into their preparation electrical stimulation sessions carried out with the Low back pain prevention programme to improve support from their abdominal and low back muscles and avoid attacks of lumbago which always disturb physical preparation. If pain is present, it is more often than not demonstrated by persistent contractures of the low back paravertebral muscles. These can be effectively countered and relieved with the Low back pain programme which acts directly on the pain by stimulating an increase in the natural production of endorphins by the organism and acts on muscular contracture thanks to a high local increase in blood flow, thus eliminating acid waste accumulated in the muscles.
Cycle duration
2 to 3 weeks
You are advised to consult your doctor if no improvement is observed after the first week of use
Cycle sequence
At least 1 session every day
If possible, 2 sessions per day, separated by at least 10 minutes rest between the 2 sessions
Position of the body: Adopt the most comfortable position.
Energy setting:
Gradually increase the stimulation energy until you get very pronounced muscular twitches (sort of large muscle vibrations).
The miRANGE function is a useful aid to ensure you are working in an effective area.
